Emergence is a breathing installation and a group ritual to transform grief into gratitude and aliveness by practicing individual surrender and collective care. Guided by local song and knowledge of the soil and history of the land. This particular offering titled Emergence has been intuitively designed by performance artist and ritualist Eva Bartels over the last years. She has developed the Emergence Method together with a team of profound musicians, facilitators and ritualist. Also Eva has invited minstrels, poets and plant workers in to imbue the research with a broader interconnected dept. Eva approaches the soil as a universal womb into whom we can return to transform and Emerge revitalised.

Eva has chosen to develop this method by doing and experiencing in a childlike curiosity uninfluenced by existing rituals. Only later when the method was solid she started to open up for stories and ceremonies which have long existed and which have roots in ancient shamanic cultures and indigenous tribes such as the Toltec, Lakota and The (ab)Originals.

Some burial ritual have been practiced in Siberia, Central and South Asia, Mesopotamia, and southern countries in Africa for Millennia, most of them being performed as a ceremonial rite of passage.
